Hands on with the LG Optimus 3D Max at CTIA [Video] Recent Comments Android Forums

The last LG phone I spent some time with today was the Optimus 3D Max. This is the follow up to the Optimus 3D, and there’s a possibility that it could hit AT&T as the LG Thrill 2. HTC abandoned 3D in 2012, but LG still sees a niche for this type of product. I will say I wasn’t so much impressed with the actual display, but more the quality of 3D video that it was capable of filming. Nearby there was a LG 42-inch 3D TV showing a 3D video that was filmed using the 3D Max. I was impressed.

Specs include:

  • 4.3-inch 3D WVGA Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2

  • 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor (OMAP4430)

  • 1GB of RAM

  • 8GB Internal Storage

  • 5MP rear Dual-lens camera

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread

  • Battery: 1,520 mAh

  • HSPA+ 21Mbps, HDMI connection 2D/3D TV/monitor up to 1080p via MHL, DNLA for wireless connection with TV/PC (3D video also supported), NFC Full Support, LG Tag+
